Your new company

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Website Content Manager to join its digital content team. You will play a key role in ensuring important information is accessible, accurate and easy to understand for users, businesses and stakeholders.


Your new role

As a Website Content Manager, you will be responsible for creating, editing and publishing content across a large government digital platform. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure content meets user needs, follows digital content best practices and supports the delivery of high-quality online services.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, editing and publishing content across digital platforms
  • Reviewing and improving existing content using plain English principles
  • Ensuring all content complies with established content design and GOV.UK guidelines
  • Using analytics and user data to identify opportunities for content improvements
  • Providing recommendations to enhance content performance and service delivery
  • Supporting accessibility compliance and ensuring content is inclusive for all users
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and subject matter experts to maintain content quality

What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant experience using GOV.UK content management platform
  • Strong content writing and editing skills with the ability to write in clear, plain English
  • Good understanding of GOV.UK/GDS guidelines
  • Experience using data and analytics to improve content effectiveness and user experience
  • Practical experience using Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
