Job Description
Warranty Specialist – Aftersales
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused Warranty Specialist to join our Ownership Services Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting warranty operations, providing expert guidance on warranty processes, and driving continuous improvement across the aftersales function.
Working closely with regional teams, technical specialists, and our dealer network, you will be
responsible for ensuring accurate claim handling, minimising financial exposure, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, data analysis, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warranty Specialist, you will:
- Provide second-level support for escalated warranty claims, credit note queries, and system-related issues, working collaboratively with claims and regional teams to achieve timely resolutions.
- Review completed warranty claims and analyse warranty data to identify trends, anomalies, and inaccuracies, presenting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Support dealer warranty audits and chargeback administration, maintaining accurate reporting and assisting in the development of the annual audit plan.
- Coordinate end-to-end workflows and stakeholder actions, ensuring issues are appropriately assigned, monitored, and resolved.
- Maintain clear communication and accurate records, ensuring outcomes are delivered in line with warranty policies, operational standards, and customer expectations.
- Lead warranty onboarding activities for new dealers, including labour rate and consumables requests, ensuring effective cost control and compliance.
- Support the delivery of warranty training in partnership with regional and technical teams, creating guidance documents, communications, and published bulletins.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the development, testing, and implementation of robust processes, procedures, and supporting documentation.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Experience within the automotive industry or dealer network, ideally in a warranty, aftersales, or technical environment. Experience in a similar head-office warranty or technical function will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of warranty claims management, claim review processes, defect code analysis, warranty reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent digital literacy, including experience using SAP and Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively across different teams, cultures, and markets.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills. German language skills would be an advantage.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
No two weeks will be the same.
You could be reviewing escalated warranty claims with regional and claims teams, analysing warranty trends to identify process improvements, supporting dealer audits, or onboarding a new dealer partner.
You'll spend time collaborating with technical specialists and regional stakeholders to resolve complex issues, maintaining accurate records, producing guidance materials and training content, and contributing to projects that improve systems, processes, and dealer performance.
This is a dynamic role where you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on operational excellence, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Why Join Us?
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied and influential role at the centre of our aftersales operation.
You'll gain exposure to:
- Warranty and claims management
- Dealer network support
- Data analysis and reporting
- Audit and compliance activities
- Dealer onboarding and training
- Process and system improvement projects
The role offers the chance to solve complex challenges, influence ways of working, and make a visible contribution to business performance and customer experience. It's an ideal next step for someone looking to broaden their expertise and build a rewarding career within warranty and aftersales.
