Job Description
The VP, Strategy Director provides senior strategic leadership across healthcare and life sciences engagements, developing integrated brand, omnichannel, customer experience, and communications strategies for regional and global clients. The role partners with senior client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams across Client Services, Creative, Medical Strategy, Science & Regulatory, and Project Management to turn complex commercial challenges into clear strategic direction and measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead integrated brand, omnichannel, customer experience, and communications strategy across HCP and consumer audiences, translating market, customer, and commercial insights into actionable strategic plans.
- Facilitate executive workshops, brand planning sessions, and senior client presentations, providing recommendations that shape brand, portfolio, customer experience, and commercial decisions.
- Partner with Client Services, Creative, Medical Strategy, Science & Regulatory, and Project Management to connect commercial objectives, scientific context, customer insights, and creative execution across integrated engagements.
- Drive strategic contributions to new business pitches, proposals, brand planning initiatives, and organic growth opportunities, partnering with senior client and Klick leadership to strengthen and expand relationships.
- Apply data, customer insights, behavioral science, emerging trends, and AI-enabled approaches to strategic planning, helping teams identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and improve decision-making.
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare communications, pharmaceutical strategy, life sciences consulting, or integrated agency strategy, including ownership of complex regional or global client engagements.
- Demonstrated experience developing integrated brand, omnichannel, commercialisation, customer experience, or communications strategies for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare brands, with examples of strategies taken through planning into execution.
- Experience leading executive-level workshops, strategic planning sessions, and presentations for senior client stakeholders, with evidence of recommendations influencing brand, portfolio, or commercial decisions.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary strategy across Client Services, Creative, Medical Strategy, Science & Regulatory, and Project Management, with accountability for delivering integrated strategic recommendations.
- Experience contributing strategic leadership to healthcare or life sciences new business pitches, proposals, and client growth initiatives, with examples of supporting new or expanded client engagements.
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Experience developing strategy across therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, rare disease, specialty care, vaccines, or consumer health.
- Experience supporting regional or global healthcare brands across EMEA, North America, or APAC, including adapting strategy to different market and customer contexts.
- Experience applying behavioural science, customer insights, ecosystem strategy, data, or innovation methodologies to healthcare commercial challenges.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership teams to shape longer-term brand, portfolio, or commercial strategy within healthcare or life sciences organisations.
