Job Description

Join us as a Volunteer Receptionist and help create a warm, welcoming environment for patients and visitors while supporting our Hospice Team with a variety of tasks. 

Your contribution will assist in streamlining daily duties to allow the hospice to operate smoothly, making a meaningful impact on those in our care

 

Availability: 2.5 hours, weekday evenings

Time: 16:30 - 19:00

Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Marie Curie Drive, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE4 6SS

Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age.

 

What you'll do:

  • Warmly welcome and greet everyone entering the hospice, ensuring security guidelines are followed
  • Receive deliveries and notify relevant staff
  • Handle telephone calls with a polite manner and relay messages
  • Escort visitors to areas within the hospice
  • Communicate patient arrivals to relevant staff
  • Assist with transport needs - booking taxis
