The position is open to newly qualified veterinary surgeons who are eager to develop their clinical independence. Candidates should be comfortable working in a supportive, RCVS-accredited environment.
Job Description
We have extensive experience supporting newly qualified veterinary surgeons, you’ll be supported by our Lead Vet and Joint Venture Partner, Dr Markus Karlsen, with regular clinical guidance, case discussions and protected mentoring time to help you build confidence and develop into the clinician you want to become.
From day one, you'll have the opportunity to gradually build your clinical independence within a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, learning is continuous and every member of the team is valued and supported. You'll be joining a close-knit team of experienced veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, student nurses and client care advisors who pride themselves on working collaboratively and supporting one another.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Weekend commitments are negotiable.
Our opening hours are:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
This role offers exposure to a varied and interesting caseload, providing excellent opportunities to develop your medical and surgical skills. Our RCVS-accredited practice at General Practice Level is well equipped to support high-quality patient care, including:
- Separate cat and dog wards
- Three consulting rooms
- Two theatres
- Dedicated prep and diagnostic areas
- Fully stocked pharmacy
- Ultrasound
- Video endoscopy
- Digital radiography
- Full IDEXX in-house laboratory
