Vehicle Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
• Mix and apply paint, primers, and clear coats to vehicles ensuring a smooth and high-quality finish.
• Inspect finished work for quality and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed.
• Operate paint spray equipment safely and maintain it properly.
• Follow safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment and handling of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Keep accurate records of paint usage and work completed.

• Proven experience as a vehicle painter or in automotive refinishing.
• Ability to prepare surfaces and apply paint with precision and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and coatings used in vehicle painting.
• Proficiency in operating spray painting equipment safely and effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting and handling chemicals.
• Good color vision and aesthetic judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications or training in automotive painting are advantageous.
