Job Description

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Tissue Viability Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team within Forth Valley. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a passion for wound care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

As a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse, you will work across acute and community settings to provide expert clinical advice, education, and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care, promoting best practice in wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, and skin integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist tissue viability advice and support across the organisation.
  • Undertake holistic assessments and develop management plans for complex wounds.
  • Support the implementation of local and national guidelines to promote high-quality care.
  • Deliver training and education sessions for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in audit, research, and service development initiatives.
  • Work closely with other specialists, community services, and acute care teams to ensure continuity of care.

About You

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • Significant post-registration experience, including in wound care or tissue viability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teaching skills.
  • A postgraduate qualification in tissue viability or a willingness to work towards this is desirable.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
