Job Description
A Strategic Account Executive at Microsoft is the senior sales leader who owns Microsoft’s most critical customer relationships, drives multi‑year AI and cloud transformation at CxO level, and orchestrates the full Microsoft ecosystem to deliver customer and revenue outcomes. This role goes beyond transactional selling — it is about long‑term strategic partnership, executive influence, and orchestrating “One Microsoft” to deliver customer outcomes at scale. The Professional Services team are looking to hire an exceptional Account Executive to lead the Microsoft relationship with one of the top UK‑based business process outsourcing (BPO) and professional services clients. This organisation partners with Microsoft to run large, complex operational services on behalf of governments and enterprises, leading with digital, cloud and AI.
Responsibilities
- Owns the end‑to‑end relationship with a Strategic Client
- Is accountable for revenue, consumption, adoption, and customer outcomes across the full Microsoft portfolio
- Operates at CxO level (CEO, CIO, CFO, CHRO, CDO, etc.)
- Leads a virtual account team spanning sales, engineering, customer success, partners, and executives
- Shapes multi‑year digital and AI transformation journeys
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive enterprise sales experience
- Deep industry expertise & insight on AI transformation
- Proven ability to operate at CEO / Board level
- Strong commercial and negotiation capability in closing large, complex deals
- Exceptional orchestration and stakeholder leadership skills
- Proven success working in team-oriented environments, with the flexibility to navigate dynamic landscapes and perform under pressure.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and organizational objectives.
