Would you like to join a supportive and forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapy service that is helping to shape practice nationally?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Speech and Language Therapists to join the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team in NHS Forth Valley.

We welcome applications from both newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists and experienced practitioners looking for a new challenge or a change in direction.

Our service is recognised nationally for its innovative and strengths-based approach to supporting children and young people. Over recent years, we have transformed the way we work to improve outcomes for children, young people and families, with a particular focus on reducing inequalities and supporting those most impacted by poverty.

We work closely with our three local authority partners, health colleagues, early years settings, schools and families to deliver high-quality support across universal, targeted and individualised levels. We are passionate about creating environments where children and young people can communicate, participate, build relationships and thrive in the places that matter most to them.

In this role, you will work in partnership with parents, carers, education staff, health colleagues and the wider children's workforce to reduce the impact of speech, language and communication difficulties on a child's wellbeing and participation. The role includes supporting children with a range of communication needs, delivering training, developing communication-friendly environments and using coaching and modelling approaches to build the confidence and skills of the adults around the child.

This role will require the successful candidate to deliver innovative universal, targeted and individualised approaches within educational placements.

We are proud of the support we provide to our staff. You will receive high-quality clinical supervision, professional leadership, peer support and access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities. Newly qualified therapists will benefit from our Flying Start programme, mentoring and structured support, while all staff joining the service are supported to settle into their role and develop their knowledge, skills and confidence. Whatever stage you are at in your career, we are committed to helping you learn, grow and thrive.

The ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk

If you have the skills, values and enthusiasm to contribute to our team, we would love to hear from you.
