Speech and Language Therapist - CFHD
Requirements
Applicants must have a recognised speech and language therapy degree or equivalent, current professional registration and a licence to practise, and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and relevant special interest groups. Essential experience and knowledge include working with children in community or education settings, assessment tools and therapeutic interventions, clinical governance and audit, other professionals’ roles, and record-keeping standards.
Job Description
This post will be based in Exeter and East & Mid Devon and will be part of the highly supportive Exeter and East & Mid Devon S< Teams, delivering a community speech and language therapy service to children and young people within clinic and education settings.

Main duties of the job
The speech and language therapy service within CFHD have transformed to work within the Balanced System framework.
The Speech, Language and Communication pathway consists of Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants working across Devon and Torbay.
The aim of the team is to ensure that specialist support is easily accessible within the community settings, providing both direct support to children, young people and families, and to the wider community teams.
Everyone in the team is provided with regular supervision, opportunities for training and development.

- To provide appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
- To provide advice to parents and carers, early years and school staff and
- To set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers.
- To write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.
