Summary
We're looking for an experienced SHE Advisor to join our team, supporting the delivery of our works on HS2 based in Denham.
This role will play a key part in implementing and maintaining an industry-leading and compliant Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management System across the HS2 project. Working closely with the Project Team and reporting into the SHE Manager, you'll provide practical support, advice and guidance to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance are achieved throughout the project.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

Provide Health, Safety and Environmental leadership and guidance to ensure our Safety First and Foremost culture is visible and embedded across all HS2 project activities.

Support project personnel in understanding their SHE responsibilities and provide guidance on any SHE-related matters or concerns.

Ensure proactive and reactive inspections of the project are regularly undertaken, maintaining compliance with Company SHE Policies, Procedures and HS2 requirements.

Make recommendations to both employed and Supply Chain teams to improve overall SHE performance and ensure agreed actions are effectively implemented.

Monitor and report on project SHE performance, supporting the SHE Manager with monthly reporting and project performance reviews.

Undertake incident investigations as directed by the SHE Manager and report in line with the Company's 2-2-2 process. Review accidents and incidents to ensure appropriate investigations and corrective actions are completed.

Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Health and Safety Management System across the HS2 project.

Work closely with operational teams to develop practical solutions to SHE challenges, promoting continuous improvement and sharing best practice.

Support Supply Chain SHE performance through audits, reviews and the communication of SHE alerts and lessons learned.

Assist with client audits, inspections and compliance activities, ensuring all project SHE documentation is accurate and up to date.
To be successful in this role:
We're looking for someone with proven experience in a SHE Advisor role within the construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
We're also looking for:

NEBOSH General Certificate (essential). An NVQ Level 6 qualification is desirable, although support can be provided to achieve this.

Good knowledge of current SHE legislation and recognised industry best practice.

Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

Experience working on major infrastructure or rail projects is desirable and MEP, with HS2 experience being advantageous.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams at all levels.

Full, clean driving licence.

Ability to obtain relevant security clearance where required.
