Requirements
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with a non-judgemental, person-centred approach. While experience in sexual health is preferred, trainees can enter at Band 5 and progress upon completing a Postgraduate Certificate and non-medical prescribing qualification.
Job Description
Sexual Health Fife is a forward thinking multidisciplinary team delivering sexual and reproductive health care for Fife’s population. A vacancy has arisen within the nursing team for a Registered Nurse (Adult). This post will cover the delivery of services Fife-wide.
This vacancy can be filled by an experienced sexual health nurse (band 6) or a registrant who do not have previous sexual health experience at Band 5 (Annex 21) with progression to a Band 6 on completion of competencies which include the Postgraduate Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health and non-medical prescribing qualification. You should have some experience in sexual health or a related area, have a non-judgemental, person-centred approach, and the ability to use your initiative. The post holder will function as an autonomous practitioner to ensure the provision of accessible, high standard, culturally sensitive and rights-based Sexual and Reproductive Health care.
