Role: Service Validation Engineer – Life Science Equipment
Location: Field based covering cover Milton Keynes / North London / Oxford
Job Purpose
To provide servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, calibration and validation of Life Science equipment, including autoclaves, isolators and laboratory/pharmaceutical washers, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair Life Science equipment, including autoclaves, isolators , and washers.
- Carry out Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities where applicable.
- Perform thermal mapping and validation using calibrated test equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and control system faults.
- Complete service reports and validation documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with HTM 2010 (or equivalent), GMP and company quality procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service and technical support.
- Maintain company tools, calibration equipment and test instruments.
- Work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Travel throughout the assigned region and, when required , support customers across the UK.
- Participate in an on-call rota if required .
- Proven experience servicing and validating Life Science equipment.
- Experience working on autoclaves, isolators and/or laboratory/pharmaceutical washers.
- Relevant validation qualification with knowledge of HTM 2010 or an equivalent recognised validation standard.
- Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience using thermal validation equipment and calibrated data loggers.
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, NHS or laboratory environments.
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO 17665.
- Experience working on autoclaves, isolators, and washers.
- Previous field service experience.
