Contract Role: Senior Test Analyst – SC Clearance
Contract Location: Wiltshire. Hybrid 2 days
Contract Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)
Contract Start Date: Immediate
Contract Classification: Inside IR35
Daily Rate breakdown
Traditional Daily Rate: £450
Agreed Contract Rate (ACR): £346
Equivalent Annual Salary: £90,200 + £10,800 Holiday Pay

Overview
The Tester is responsible for assuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of data processed through a Python-based web application. The role will validate data transformations against defined business rules and expected outputs, whilst undertaking functional, regression, end-to-end and user interface testing to ensure the solution meets user and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Validate transformed data against defined business rules, transformation logic and expected outputs.
• Conduct functional, regression and end-to-end testing across development and production environments.
• Test user interface functionality, including data upload, validation and output generation processes.
• Verify integration between the application front-end and backend data processing components.
• Identify, document, track and retest defects through to resolution.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists and business analysts to ensure requirements are fully understood and adequately tested.
• Support the development and execution of automated testing where appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience testing data transformation processes and validating data quality.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
• Experience planning, executing and documenting functional and regression testing activities.
• Experience using Python to validate data outputs and support test automation.
• Experience testing web applications and end-to-end business workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Desirable
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience testing Flask-based web applications.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and their impact on data presentation and user experience.
• Experience developing automated tests using Python.
