Job Description
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Security Solution Architect - AI to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6-12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London, Edinburgh or Bristol.
Our client is seeking an experienced Security Solution Architect with a strong background in cloud architecture, AI technologies, and enterprise security solutions. The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of innovative security architectures that leverage Artificial Intelligence to detect, prevent, and respond to evolving fraud threats.
This role requires a highly capable architect with demonstrable experience delivering AI solutions end-to-end, operating across major cloud platforms, and defining secure enterprise architectures within complex environments. The position will play a key role in helping our organisation strengthen fraud prevention capabilities through the application of advanced AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern security technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise within the Microsoft security ecosystem, whilst maintaining the ability to integrate and architect solutions involving complementary technologies such as CrowdStrike.
Responsibilities:
Solution & Security Architecture:
- Design and develop enterprise-scale security architectures across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead solution architecture activities from requirements gathering through to implementation and operational handover.
- Define security patterns, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, governance, resilience, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with security operations, engineering, data, and business stakeholders to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
AI & Fraud Prevention:
- Architect and deliver AI-powered security and fraud prevention solutions.
- Apply Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, machine learning, and behavioural analytics to identify, prevent, and investigate fraudulent activity.
- Design solutions leveraging AI to enhance threat detection, anomaly identification, user behaviour analysis, and fraud risk mitigation.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to combat evolving fraud threats.
- Support responsible AI adoption, ensuring security, governance, and ethical use of AI technologies.
Security & Technology Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership on Microsoft security products and services, including:
- Microsoft 365 Security
- Microsoft Entra
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Purview
- Microsoft Security Copilot
- Design integrations between Microsoft security services and third-party platforms, including CrowdStrike.
- Support incident response, threat modelling, security assessments, and security transformation initiatives.
- Advise stakeholders on security architecture best practice and emerging industry trends.
About You
- Significant experience in a Security Architect or Solution Architect role.
- Strong solution architecture capability across major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).
- Demonstrable end-to-end delivery experience of AI-enabled solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience designing secure architectures involving machine learning, generative AI, and LLM technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable and secure technology solutions.
- Knowledge of identity and access management, data protection, threat detection, and security operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience working within complex, regulated environments.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience within fraud, fraud prevention, financial crime, behavioural analytics, or risk management domains.
- Demonstrable experience using AI and LLMs to reduce fraud risk and improve fraud detection capabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioural fraud detection techniques and user/entity behaviour analytics (UEBA).
- Experience integrating AI-driven fraud prevention capabilities into enterprise security architectures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Security Copilot and AI-assisted security operations.
- Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and associated security tooling.
