Senior Security Officer
About The Role
Join the University of Bath as a Senior Security Officer and use your experience to lead a team and help keep our students, staff and visitors safe.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be trusted to take charge, make decisions and lead from the front. You'll supervise a team of Security Officers, respond to incidents and emergencies, support people during challenging situations, and work alongside the emergency services when required.
No two shifts are the same. From managing critical incidents and welfare concerns to overseeing patrols, CCTV, access control and campus security, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and welcoming University community.

The basic working week is 38.5 hours, including 2 hours contractual overtime, worked on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern covering weekdays, weekends and Bank Holidays, with a 15% rotational shift allowance and 10% market supplement payable.
The role covers the main University campus and off-site buildings and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
