Job Description
BB Accounting Solutions Ltd is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Practice Accountant to join our Glasgow branch.
This is a senior role and is not suitable for a trainee or junior candidate.
The successful candidate must have strong UK accountancy practice experience, strong Xero experience, and the ability to take ownership of client files from review stage through to final accounts, corporation tax computations, CT600 filing, Companies House submissions and HMRC filings.
The role will involve reviewing accounts work prepared by junior staff, identifying technical issues, correcting errors, ensuring client files are complete and accurate, and finalising accounts and tax returns independently.
We are looking for someone who can support the CEO with accounts production, tax preparation, internal file review, statutory filings, and the development of junior team members.
ACCA or ACA qualified candidates are preferred. However, we will also consider IFA, AIA, AAT, or qualified-by-experience candidates with strong UK practice experience.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently without needing basic training or close supervision.
For the right person, there may be an opportunity to grow into an Accounts Manager or Practice Manager role in the future, subject to performance, capability and the needs of the firm.
Strong Xero experience is essential. Experience with Sage, QuickBooks or FreeAgent would be helpful but is not essential.
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per year
Location: Glasgow branch, in person
