The project: Our transportation team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team in Manchester.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing strategic direction, supporting effective planning, scheduling and delivery across projects and tenders.
- Supporting business strategy, commercial negotiations and sustainable long-term performance, upholding Mace values.
- Fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation, building effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Directing planning and scheduling activities, applying EVM, project controls methodologies, techniques and tools.
- Managing and developing planning professionals, ensuring effective service delivery.
- Influencing clients and stakeholders through clear analysis, recommendations and corrective actions.
- Collaborating across teams to achieve project objectives and support proactive carbon reduction and net zero transition.
You’ll need to have:
- Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the transport sector.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
