Help us create a better future, quicker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Performance Accountant to join our Group Business Performance team. This is a highly visible role at the centre of ScottishPower's financial performance reporting, providing critical insight to senior leadership teams across the business and Iberdrola.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality management reporting, forecasts and budgets, helping decision-makers understand performance and drive strategic outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll influence business planning, strengthen reporting processes and contribute to the financial reporting that supports ScottishPower's journey towards a cleaner, smarter energy future.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the consolidation and reporting of monthly performance results, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for the ScottishPower Group. Working with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you'll ensure robust reporting processes are delivered accurately and on time while managing key relationships with Iberdrola and senior internal stakeholders.

You'll support the production of Board, Management Committee and Group reporting packs, providing clear analysis and commentary that helps explain business performance. You'll also play an important role in developing reporting processes, maintaining relevant performance measures and ensuring financial systems are prepared for each reporting cycle.

What you'll bring

You'll be a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in financial reporting, performance management or a control environment. You'll enjoy working with complex financial information and translating it into meaningful insight for senior stakeholders.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business performance drivers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing complex reporting, forecasting or budgeting processes.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively when required.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using SAP, BPC or similar financial consolidation and reporting systems.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
