Job Description

💥 Our Mission

Evergive was conceived as the answer to a radical question: What if every donation could be made once, and last forever? What if the same donation could be spent again and again?

The world would be a different place. Evergive is on a mission to do just that. By making donations compound and last forever, we are building the financial backbone of humanity, a safety net for all.

Donations on Evergive are invested in sound money, with charities benefiting from the upside in perpetuity. This brings sustainability to charities and puts them on a path to financial security forever.

We work with the world's most trusted charities, including Save The Children, Amnesty International, BBC Media Action, The United Nations and others.

🚀Our founder

Ismael Dainehine is a founder who thinks in decades, not quarters. After building and exiting successful tech businesses, he chose to step away from the conventional path to focus on a harder question: how to build a world worth inheriting for his daughter. That thinking underpins Evergive and everything around it.

He works from first principles and expects the same from those around him. Clarity of thought, intellectual honesty, and a bias to action matter more than titles or process. He moves quickly, challenges assumptions (including his own), and values people who take real ownership, those who think like builders, not passengers.

At his core is a belief in freedom, long-term thinking, and systems that empower rather than extract, deeply influenced by the ethos of Bitcoin. Rooted in his family’s journey from Eritrea, his mission is personal: to help build a freer, more resilient world for the next generation.

⚡️ Your Mission

To ensure everyone in the business has what they need to operate with clarity, efficiency and speed. You will operate across product delivery, partner onboarding, revenue, compliance, charity governance, regulators, finance, and people. The business runs on execution discipline and clarity and you will own it.

We are looking for a rare operator: someone who brings structural rigour without bureaucracy, who can context-switch across legal, people, product, and finance in a single day, and who treats ambiguity as the default condition.

You will own the operating layer of Evergive end-to-end. You will translate founder priorities into structured action, maintain visibility across all active workstreams, eliminate blockers before they surface, and build the operational backbone that lets everything else scale.

You will work directly with the founder and act as the operational nerve centre of the business, the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks and that the right things are happening in the right order.

👌 What does good look like

Business Operations Ownership

  • Own day-to-day operations across the entire Evergive business.

  • Maintain real-time visibility across all active workstreams, ensure priorities are clear, sequenced, and being executed, and keep the business moving despite shifting priorities or ambiguity.

  • Capture decisions and operationalise them quickly.

People Operations & HR

  • Own all people operations and HR matters for Evergive.

  • Handle employment relations, performance management coordination, HR documentation, and policy discipline.

  • Ensure people matters are handled consistently, professionally, and with appropriate escalation, building the infrastructure for a growing team.

Product & Delivery Operations

  • Own the operational layer that makes product and engineering delivery run.

  • Coordinate launches, partnership readiness, and product-related compliance.

  • Maintain execution discipline across all product-adjacent workstreams and ensure nothing ships without operational readiness, including partner SDK integrations and supporting partners as they navigate the compliance terrain of embedding donation and investment mechanics into their own products.

Sales Ops & Revenue Coordination

  • Support the operational side of Evergive's growth engine.

  • Maintain process hygiene across growth and partnerships, improve coordination between growth, product, and execution, and ensure external opportunities are followed through operationally, from first contact to signed agreement.

Legal & Compliance Implementation

  • Own Evergive's compliance posture as an operational risk surface, not a back-office function.

  • Translate legal and regulatory guidance into practical operating requirements and exercise independent judgement when decisions carry compliance exposure.

  • Flag risk before it crystallises, push back when approaches cut corners, and hold the line when the business needs to slow down to stay clean.

  • This is an ownership role with real accountability for keeping Evergive on the right side of its obligations.

Donor Advised Fund Coordination

  • Evergive operates within a structured charitable giving infrastructure with third-party governance and reporting obligations (i.e. Donor Advised Funds).

  • You will own the operational processes that keep our actions aligned with those external requirements, maintaining clean handoffs and ensuring nothing we do creates downstream compliance or reporting issues for our partners.

Finance & Accounting Coordination

  • Own operational inputs to finance. Maintain visibility over budget, spend, invoices, vendor commitments, and operational finance dependencies.

  • Support clean financial processes at entity level and ensure coordination with group finance is smooth and timely.

AI, Automation & Operational Leverage

  • Embed AI and automation into Evergive's day-to-day operations to increase speed, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and build smarter workflows, from automating charity onboarding processes and generating reporting outputs to using tools like Claude and Notion AI to accelerate internal documentation and coordination.

  • You won't wait to be asked; you'll spot the inefficiency, build the fix, and raise the baseline for how the whole team operates.

🧠 The Ideal Candidate

You Think Like a Founder

  • We're looking for someone who has operated where accountability was personal and not diffused, where dropped balls had real consequences and there was no one else to catch them.

  • A founding background is a strong signal of this, but not the only one.

  • If you've been an early hire at a pre-scale company, a solo operator inside a larger organisation, or someone who has simply always run things as if they owned them, we want to hear from you.

  • What matters is the mindset: full ownership, no hiding, no waiting to be told.

Proven Operator in High-Growth Environments

  • 5–8 years in operations, business operations, or similar roles within fast-moving, high-growth companies.

  • You've worked in early-stage or scaling startups, directly with founders or senior leadership, and you've turned unclear priorities into structured execution at pace.

Cross-Functional by Default

  • You've operated across product, growth, legal, finance, and people, not sequentially, but simultaneously.

  • You're comfortable moving between a compliance question in the morning, a hiring decision at lunch, and an engineering delivery review in the afternoon. The breadth doesn't faze you.

Execution-First Mindset

  • You don't wait to be told. You identify what needs doing, build the plan, and drive it through.

  • You track your own outputs, close your own loops, and hold others to account without needing a manager to prompt it.

  • Your default is action, not process theatre.

Calm Under Pressure

  • You maintain clarity in high-intensity situations. You handle sensitive information with discretion and judgement.

  • You don't escalate noise, you resolve it.

  • When things are moving fast and the ground is shifting, you're the stabilising force, not an additional variable.

Team leadership

  • You have managed both up and down, holding teams to account while earning the trust of senior leadership and founders.

  • You know when to delegate and when to roll up your sleeves, and you can make that call quickly in a fast-moving environment.

  • You've led mid-to-senior level teams, navigated performance conversations, and built the kind of accountability culture where people take ownership because the standard is clear and high.

AI & Systems Fluent

  • You're comfortable using AI tools (Claude, Claude Cowork, or similar) to improve the speed and quality of your work.

  • You naturally identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and leverage systems.

  • You're a strong systems thinker who continuously evaluates and implements smarter ways of working.

What Success Looks Like

Day 30 Full operational visibility established. Active workstreams, dependencies, blockers, and key relationships all mapped. Working rhythm with the founder in place. Listening tour complete.

Day 60 First independent operational decisions made and implemented. At least one significant blocker resolved without founder involvement. Early process improvements visible. Clear point of view on what is and isn't working.

Day 90 Operating as the full operational anchor of the business. Founder bandwidth has visibly increased. Compliance and governance disciplines running cleanly. Team trusts this person as the operational go-to.

6 Months Business running faster and with less founder dependency. At least two AI-enabled workflows embedded. People ops and finance coordination clean.

12 Months Operational infrastructure is a competitive asset. The person has the standing and trust to push back on founder direction when the risk justifies it.

🧠 What You Get

We do all the usual stuff, like sick days (6 days), annual leave (25 days), full healthcare etc, but

here is what makes us stand out:

A Seriously High-Performing Team

This is the ultimate perk we have to offer. You'll work with people who are obsessive, care an unreasonable amount, move fast, argue well, ship, and own outcomes. No coasting, no hiding, no politics. If you do your best work around other obsessed builders, you'll feel at home.

Generous Equity

We pride ourselves on offering up to triple the equity ownership of other companies our size. We believe teams who endure the hard times should enjoy the good times. If Evergive works and you're playing the long game, this can be genuinely life-changing for your future.

Enough Cash to Remove the Distraction

Sensible, competitive pay. Not inflated or VC-cosplay. We bias heavily toward long-term upside over short-term optimisation. We pay market-rate salaries and over-index on equity.

Your Life's Most Proud Work

You're building infrastructure that outlives us. If this works, your grandchildren will know what you built. If that excites you, good. If not, this probably isn't your place.

We are an in-person culture and believe in fostering a vibrant work environment centred around connection, collaboration, and moving fast together.
