Digital Regulation Assurance
Deloitte's Digital Regulation Assurance team is at the forefront of a rapidly evolving landscape. We are a multi-disciplinary team of specialists with expertise in risk and controls, regulatory compliance, and audit & assurance. We work with major digital platforms to help them build trust in online safety, transparency and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an experience and motivated Senior Manager to join the Algorithm and AI Assurance team in London to lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact assurance projects across a range of clients and technologies.
As an emerging leader of the team we will provide you with ongoing support to allow you to further develop into a leading specialist in your discipline, gain experience of others, and play your part in maintaining and building our esteemed position in the market.
You will be:
- Leading and managing a team providing guidance and support across the Digital Regulation Assurance focus areas described above.
- Providing assurance over large technology platforms compliance with Digital Regulations - i.e. Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, EU AI Act. This will include identifying and assessing risks, developing testing strategies, and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Leading and managing a team in conducting in-depth control reviews and control testing, leveraging Deloitte’s methodologies and tools.
- Developing and implementing innovative assurance approaches to address emerging risks and challenges in the rapidly evolving landscape of Digital Regulation.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively identifying opportunities for new business. This includes leading client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Actively contributing to business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in marketing and networking events.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Ensuring all project deliverables are undertaken in accordance with Deloitte's quality and risk management standards.
- Working effectively in diverse, cross-service line teams, leveraging internal networks to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. This will involve collaborating with colleagues from other service lines to deliver integrated services.

To qualify for this role essentials are:
- Keen interest in regulatory requirements relating to digital regulation (e.g. Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Online Safety Act, EU AI Act, etc).
- Significant experience in internal or external audit or assurance, including planning and scoping engagements, assessing risk, developing proportionate audit procedures, performing design and operating effectiveness testing of controls, evaluating evidence, exercising professional judgement and forming clear, well-supported conclusions. Experience of regulatory or compliance audits is desirable.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex audit or assurance engagements from planning through to completion, including directing multidisciplinary teams, reviewing work and evidence, resolving significant findings and communicating outcomes and practical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering high-quality reports and presentations to senior stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading and managing complex, multi-faceted projects, including the development of project plans, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
- Experience in managing client expectations and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical capabilities (including proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A keen interest in exploring and applying AI-enabled tools responsibly to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and improve the quality and consistency of deliverables.
Additional desirable experience includes:
- Knowledge and experience in the regulatory landscape surrounding major digital platforms (e.g. Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Online Safety Act, EU AI Act, etc.).
- Experience in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements and standards to practical scenarios and advising clients on compliance strategies.
- Experience in projects related to control enhancement and regulatory change, either within a professional services firm or in industry.
- Experience in coding (e.g., SQL, Python, Java) or advanced data modelling and analytics techniques.
- Use of Gen-AI to drive enhanced efficiencies in delivery and design of services.
