Job Description

Senior macOS Engineer | SC | £60-85K | London (Hybrid) 2-3 days on site


A growing End User Compute and Zero Trust provider to UK government is hiring a Senior macOS Engineer.


You’ll work on a fully cloud-managed Mac estate with a modern stack throughout. This is real engineering with plenty of autonomy, not BAU support.


What you’ll actually be doing:

  • Building and maintaining macOS deployments via ADE, Apple Business Manager and MDM
  • Creating configuration profiles, packaging apps, scripting and automating
  • Maintaining security baselines aligned to NCSC guidance, CIS benchmarks and Apple Security Baselines
  • Acting as the 3rd line escalation point before the macOS Lead
  • Leading technical workstreams on new client onboardings
  • Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers


The tech you’ll be working with:

  • Jamf or similar for MDM
  • Okta and Microsoft 365 for identity
  • Bash, Zsh and Python scripting
  • Zero Trust, CIS benchmarks and ISO 27001


What we need from you:

  • Solid macOS engineering experience, ideally in government or a regulated environment
  • Hands-on experience with ADE and at least one major MDM platform
  • Scripting ability in Bash, Zsh or Python
  • Active SC preferred. SC eligible will be considered, as sponsorship is available
  • Comfortable working 2 to 3 days a week from a central London office
