What You’ll Be Doing
Join our 132kV Field Operations team and play a key role in delivering major network investment projects across the SP Manweb licence area. As a Senior Engineer (Commissioning), you'll lead the testing, commissioning and energisation of 132kV and 33kV assets, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with SP Energy Networks standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Carry out Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties on 132kV and 33kV networks
- Test, commission and energise protection and control systems
- Support the safe delivery of capital projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets
- Work closely with Project Managers, contractors and delivery partners
- Lead commissioning activities, including switching programmes and asset energisation
- Provide coaching and mentoring to trainees and apprentices
- Conduct quality assurance assessments following project completion
- Support standby and emergency response activities as required
- Travel across the SP Manweb network area, including occasional overnight stays
- HNC, HND or Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Current 132kV and 33kV Senior Authorised Person status, or advanced progress towards authorisation
- Strong knowledge of HV protection, control and commissioning activities
- Experience working on 132kV and 33kV network infrastructure
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent experience
- Current 132kV and 33kV SAP authorisation, or advanced stage of development towards authorisation
- Significant experience of 132kV and 33kV networks
- Full UK driving licence
