Job Description

Are you an experienced and inspiring nursing leader looking for an opportunity to shape and develop high-quality patient care? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a dedicated Senior Charge Nurse to provide clinical and professional leadership within our Rehabilitation and Assessment services. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a multidisciplinary nursing team while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. As part of one of the UK's largest NHS organisations, you will play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes, driving quality improvement and supporting staff development. - Full-time, permanent
- You will be based at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
- Working Pattern: 4 days over 7
- Provide visible clinical leadership and operational management within the ward or department
- Lead, support and develop nursing and support staff to deliver high-quality patient-centred care
- Ensure safe, effective and evidence-based clinical practice is maintained and continuously improved
- Manage staffing resources, workforce planning, recruitment and performance management activities
- Monitor and drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and patient safety standards
- Promote effective multidisciplinary working to support seamless patient journeys and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, health and safety and organisational policies and procedures
- First level Nursing or Midwifery qualification with current NMC registration relevant to the clinical area
- Degree level qualification or evidence of continuing professional development equivalent to SCQF Level 9
- Significant post-registration experience within a relevant clinical specialty with evidence of expert practice
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing, motivating and developing teams
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and person-centred care
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Good computer and information technology skills with the ability to effectively manage clinical and workforce information systems
