About The Role

We're hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join Wiley's Delivery & Change Excellence function, reporting to the Senior Director, Delivery and Enablement. This is a hands-on role on our largest transformation programs. You'll lead complex business analysis, translate ambiguous business needs into clear requirements, with the flexibility to pick up project management or change management activities when the program needs it, to support successful delivery and adoption. Range matters as much as depth in this role.

We're looking for someone with around 8+years' experience in delivery or change roles, with a strong focus on business analysis, who can apply sound judgement and operate confidently in a large global organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis on large, complex transformation programs.
• Work with senior stakeholders to define scope, shape requirements and evaluate options.
• Model current-state processes across multiple business areas.
• Identify pain points, inefficiencies and opportunities for simplification and standardization.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements. Refine user stories with unambiguous acceptance criteria.
• Assess delivery options and trade-offs across impact, risk and cost.
• Recommend the option most likely to deliver early, incremental value.
• Design future-state processes and support impact assessment of new systems and ways of working.
• Bridge business and technical teams. Ensure requirements are understood by technical colleagues and reflected in functional designs.
• Work flexibly across the delivery team. Step into adjacent work when the program needs it, without losing depth in own area.
• Use AI tools as part of day-to-day analysis practice, in line with how the team already works.
• Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced analysts across the function.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Around ten years of business analysis experience on large, complex transformation programs affecting a large number of global stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering clear, measurable analysis outputs.
• Able to describe specific situations, actions taken and outcomes achieved, rather than relying on methodology or theory.
• Skilled in current and future-state process modelling, requirements analysis and options evaluation.
• Comfortable operating with incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Able to shape approach when inputs are contested or moving.
• Strong written and verbal communication. Comfortable writing for all audiences, from end users to executive sponsors.
• Comfortable using AI as part of day-to-day analysis practice.
• Able to translate business need into clear technical requirements.
• Works independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations.
• Anticipates challenges and acts ahead of escalation.
• Acts as a resource and coach for less experienced analysts.
• Communicates complex concepts and can shift others' perspective through negotiation.
• Ability to travel occasionally between Wiley locations if required.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
