Requirements

Job Title – Security Administrator

Location – Suffolk

What you will be doing: 

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Coordinator to join the team at Galliford Try

 

What you will be doing:

To work within the Security Management Team to ensure that Security Vetting Applications are processed in an accurate, timely and confidential manner, ensuring compliance with legislation standards and company procedures.

  • Process security vetting applications within the required timescales, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and standards. 
  • Proactively manage applications to facilitate the timely achievement of security clearances. 
  • Liaise with RAF stations regarding the issue and management of base passes. 
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, business partners, and key stakeholders. 
  • Support the management of aftercare vetting processes for the appropriate levels of security clearance. 
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection requirements when handling and processing personal information.
  • Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the vetting process, including obtaining additional information where required. 
  • Offer advice and assistance on security vetting matters to colleagues and other business areas as needed. 
  • Undertake any additional duties reasonably required by the Security Management Team or Defence Department
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Team as required.

 

Competency Requirements

  • PC Literate – Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Reliable and well organised
  • Proactive
  • Able to work within company and client procedures and standards
  • Team player with a flexible and confident approach to work
  • Previous experience in a Security Vetting role would be desirable but not essential
  • Administrative qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • Must be willing to obtain SC (Security Check)
