Requirements
Candidates must be qualified and registered Veterinary Nurses with relevant clinical experience and a flexible approach to travel. Proficiency in inpatient care, theatre support, and anaesthesia is essential, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Merseyside team as a Roving RVN, supporting our clinics and hospitals across Merseyside and North Wales.
This is a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys variety, likes working with different teams and wants to experience different clinical environments rather than being based at the same clinic every day.
You’ll provide support across Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, Birkenhead and Rhyl, moving between sites according to business need. You’ll be given reasonable notice of where you’ll be working, allowing you to plan your week while providing valuable additional support to our teams.
About animal Trust
Animal Trust stands out from other veterinary services. Firstly, we are a unique Community Interest Company, being the only veterinary CIC in the UK to date. Our primary focus isn't solely on maximising profits; instead, we are dedicated to delivering on our mission and ensuring enough profit to sustain our business in the long term.
Our vision is clear: No pet should go untreated or face euthanasia when there is a viable treatment option. We firmly believe that pet ownership should be accessible to all, acknowledging that individuals earning the Real Living Wage may encounter challenges in affording veterinary care when their pet falls ill. In response, we aim to assist. Our free consultations and transparent pricing enable our vets and nurses to break down the barriers that stand in the way of pets receiving the treatment they need
What will you be doing?
As a Roving RVN, no two days will necessarily be the same. Depending on the needs of the site you are supporting, your role could include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care across our first-opinion clinics and hospitals
- Supporting inpatient patients and caring for hospitalised animals
- Working within theatre and supporting anaesthesia
- Supporting our clinical teams during busy periods
- Working alongside different RVNs, vets and support teams across our sites
- Adapting to different clinical environments, caseloads and ways of working
- Helping our teams maintain a high standard of patient and client care
You’ll need to be comfortable stepping into a new environment, quickly understanding what the team needs and getting stuck in.
