Requirements
Applicants must have experience across roofing work and an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Advanced Craft qualification, along with a full, valid UK driving licence. They should also have experience communicating with customers with differing needs, investigating faults and their root causes, implementing lasting solutions, and organising and prioritising tasks methodically.
Job Description
Role: Roofer
Contract Type: Fixed term contract for a period of 2 years
Working Hours: 37 hours per week - You will be required to work these hours in accordance with the needs and requirements of the service, between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday to Friday.
Worker Type: Off-site worker
Salary: Grade G - Starting Salary is £37,563 (Level one) rising to £40,444 (Level four) per annum
Location: Harvey Road (NG8 3BB)

As an experienced Roofer, you will contribute to the provision of good quality rented housing, and the achievement of high levels of tenant satisfaction, improving the landlord and tenant relationships, and protecting health and safety.
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of roofing works including to strip carefully old roofs and install on new roof coverings, carrying out day to day planned roofing works, repairs, facia works and guttering works.
We will also look to you to use elements of the skills of other general trades to meet the target of first-time fix where it is efficient and appropriate to do so.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in all aspects of roofing works
- Qualified, certified & trained to NVQ3 or C&G Advance Craft.
- Full and valid driving licence.
- Experience of communicating with customers with differing needs.
- Experience of carrying out investigations and tests to identify faults and the root cause of issues and implement lasting solutions.
- A well-organised and a methodical approach to completing tasks and prioritisation skills.
