Join Aon's Risk & Compliance team and help deliver governance, reporting and risk management activities and produce insight driven reporting that support informed business decisions. This is a hybrid role offering a balance of home and office working, with the flexibility to be based in either our London or Farnborough office.

What The Day Will Look Like

Working closely with colleagues across the UK and EMEA, this role sits within the Risk & Compliance function and supports governance, committee oversight and risk management activities across a wide range of business areas. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring governance processes are effective, reporting is delivered to a high standard and key risks are appropriately managed and escalated.

You Will

  • Coordinate reporting and papers for key UK and EMEA governance committees and key stakeholders, ensuring information is accurate, clear and delivered on time.
  • Support governance forums by maintaining committee records, terms of reference, action tracking and audit trails.
  • Work closely with Risk & Compliance leaders and business teams to support effective governance and risk management practices.
  • Produce high-quality reporting on risk exposure, control effectiveness, emerging risks and key business developments.
  • Support the identification, assessment and documentation of risks, controls and dependencies across the business.
  • Provide governance and risk input on business initiatives, projects and regulatory change activities.
  • Build strong working relationships across broking, operations, finance, people and other functional teams.
  • Contribute to the UK People Risk Committee, Conduct Committee and wider Risk & Compliance projects across the UK and EMEA.

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, including the UK Chief Risk Officer, while gaining exposure to a broad range of business areas across the UK and EMEA.

The position sits at the heart of governance and risk management within a complex international organisation. Working across multiple countries, business units and functional teams, the role offers broad exposure to regulatory governance, committee management and risk management practices within a highly regulated environment.

It is well suited to someone who enjoys building strong relationships, working across a matrix organisation and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective governance outcomes. Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Experience within risk, governance, compliance, internal audit or a similar role, ideally gained within insurance, financial services, professional services or another FCA-regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory governance, committee structures, risk frameworks and governance processes within a complex corporate organisation.
  • Experience working within a large global organisation, partnering across multiple functions and geographies within a matrix environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, business teams and functional partners across the UK and EMEA.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, including experience preparing governance papers, committee reporting and management information, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
