POSITION SUMMARY

The Reporting Accountant is responsible for the production, analysis, and communication of financial and operational performance metrics across the Shared Services Finance function. The role provides accurate and insightful reporting to support decision-making, drive performance improvement, and ensure service delivery targets are met.


What Will You Do

Reporting & Management Information

  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly finance performance reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards for Shared Services Finance activities.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly finance performance reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards for Shared Services Finance activities.
  • Analyse and communicate key finance metrics including:
  • Invoice processing volumes
  • Payment performance
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable KPIs
  • Cash collection performance
  • Aged debt analysis
  • Month-end close performance
  • Service level agreement (SLA) achievement
  • Productivity and efficiency measures
  • Provide trend analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Present reporting outputs in a clear and meaningful format for stakeholders.


Data Analysis & Insight

  • Analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Investigate performance variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support root cause analysis of underperformance against targets.
  • Deliver actionable insights to Shared Services leadership teams.


Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with operational managers to understand reporting requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for finance performance data and reporting queries.
  • Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and business cases.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels.


Reporting Governance

  • Ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of reporting data.
  • Maintain reporting definitions and KPI methodologies.
  • Develop controls and validation checks for reporting processes.
  • Support audit requirements relating to performance reporting and data quality.


Continuous Improvement

  • Drive automation and simplification of reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting activity.
  • Support implementation of new reporting tools, dashboards, and technologies.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.


About You

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in management information, financial reporting, or performance reporting roles.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
  • Experience creating dashboards and management reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight.

Desirable skills

  • Experience within a Shared Services Centre (SSC) environment.
  • Knowledge of finance operational processes including AP, AR, Record to Report, or Treasury.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, Dynamics, or Workday.
  • Experience supporting performance management frameworks and KPI reporting
