Requirements
Applicants must be qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses and have an interest in working with people living with dementia; previous dementia experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Inpatient experience is preferred, and applicants should demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills, teamwork, and willingness to undertake relevant training.

Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse within our inpatient service based at Marchburn Ward, East Ayrshire Community Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent.

Hours
36.00 hours per week with a flexible approach to shifts to meet the operational demands of the ward..
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for delivering person centred care, evidence based, and recovery focused interventions and will also provide collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and across multi-agency services. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to accept and/or delegate responsibility for the ongoing assessment, implementation and evaluation of care for patients.
Applications are welcomed from individuals who will work as a key component of a multi-disciplinary team and as such should have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
- You should be willing to undertake training to develop skills and competencies as required.
- This opportunity is available to individuals who have a genuine interest in working with people living with dementia. Previous experience in this field is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- RMN qualified
- Experience or interest in working with people with dementia.
- Experience of working in an inpatient environment would be preferred.
