Salary: c.£49,400 per annum – Will consider more for an exceptional candidate

Location: Belper

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term/Full Time – 37 hours per week

A bit about the role

Are you an existing deputy manager or team leader waiting for the opportunity to lead your own team?

As Registered Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact over the next 12 months, leading a dedicated team and ensuring our young people receive high quality, therapeutic care. You'll provide strong leadership, champion positive practice and create a culture where both young people and staff feel supported to thrive.

This 12-month fixed term opportunity could be the ideal next step for an existing Deputy Manager / Team leader ready to progress into a Registered Manager role, or an existing manager looking to broaden their experience within a supportive organisation where your development and career progression are valued.

What you do could make a difference:

As Registered Manager, you'll take the lead in ensuring the home continues to provide outstanding care and positive outcomes for young people, supporting the team to deliver a therapeutic approach. You’ll lead on ensuring the home continues to meet the required regulatory standards, with support and guidance from your leadership team.

• Leading your own dynamic workforce.
• Setting the values and principles in line with national standards and Ofsted
• Prioritise psychological safety, empathy, and relationship building.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality care that achieves positive and agreed outcomes for children and young people.
• Ensure the children living with us feel physically, psychologically safe and empowered.
• Liaising with stakeholders, the community and other agencies.

Lets talk about you:

• We’re looking for an existing Children’s Services Registered Manager, or an ambitious Deputy Manager / Team Leader who is ready to take their next step.
• You’ll bring experience in children's residential care, alongside a Level 5 qualification (e.g. Diploma in Leadership and management of Residential Childcare) or be willing to work towards.
• You’ll understand the cultural, societal and ideological forces that shape a child’s development.
• You’ll have proven ability in providing a contained and fulfilling environment for staff, promoting psychological safety to build and sustain a resilient team.

About the Service

Willow Lodge is a warm, nurturing home providing therapeutic care for up to four young people. With two young people currently settled and thriving in the home, you'll join an established team and play a key role in preparing for and welcoming two more young people into our caring environment
