Overview
The UK&I Regional Win Work Director is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide win work strategy across AtkinsRéalis UK & Ireland, ensuring the business consistently delivers profitable growth through world-class client engagement, opportunity management, pursuit excellence, bidding, key account management and sales capability development. The role leads the Win Work community across all market sectors and service lines, driving a culture of collaboration, client centricity and disciplined sales execution to maximise order intake, win rates and revenue growth. The position acts as a key member of the UK&I Growth Leadership Team and partners closely with regional, market and business leaders to deliver the organisation's strategic growth ambitions.

Your role
Growth and Business Performance
- Develop and implement the UK&I Win Work strategy aligned to regional growth objectives.
- Drive sustainable growth in revenue, margin and backlog through improved win rates and conversion performance.
- Provide leadership and governance for major pursuits, strategic opportunities and critical bids.
- Establish and track performance measures across the opportunity pipeline and sales funnel.
- Lead the UK&I Winning Work function and associated communities of practice.
- Embed globally consistent best practice opportunity management, capture planning, proposal management and bid governance.
- Ensure consistent application of the AtkinsRéalis Sales Playbook.
- Sponsor continuous improvement initiatives that enhance pursuit effectiveness and client value proposition development.
- Actively participating in / influencing external win work communities (to source best practice)
- Maximising opportunities for AI.
- Oversee the enhancement of the strategic account management framework across UK&I.
- Support executive account sponsors and account directors in developing growth plans.
- Drive cross-selling and enterprise opportunities across markets and business units.
- Personally lead or sponsor some of the most strategically significant pursuits across the region.
- Coach pursuit directors and bid leaders on strategy, positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Ensure clear executive governance on high-value and high-risk opportunities.
- Lead and develop the regional Win Work Excellence Group.
- Chair the regional Win Work Steering Group.
- Lead in building win work capabilities including client relationship management and capture/proposal management.
- Mentor future growth leaders and improve succession strength across the function.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maximise sales efficiency with industry leading training, tools, processes and use of offshore resource.
- Positioning AtkinsRealis as the employer of choice for win work talent.
- Develop strong B2B relationships with win work supply chain.
- Partner with UK&I Executive Leadership, Market Directors, Service Line Leaders and the Global Growth organisation.
- Represent UK&I in enterprise growth initiatives and forums.
- Act as a trusted adviser to business leaders on market positioning, growth strategy and client engagement.

Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Significant leadership experience within professional services, engineering, consultancy or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of delivering substantial business growth and winning major opportunities.
- Deep expertise in business development, capture management, bidding and key account management.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial, strategic and relationship management skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related discipline.
- Professional qualifications relevant to business development, sales leadership or programme management.
- Experience operating in regulated infrastructure, transportation, energy, defence or government markets.
