- Work collaboratively with local, regional and national partners to share best practice and influence the development of late effects radiotherapy care.
We are a warm and welcoming multi-professional team, and staff often highlight the kindness, support, and professionalism shown across our department.
Our department comprising of two matched VERSA Elekta Linacs, Mosaiq Oncology Management System (recently upgraded), Pinnacle Treatment Planning System (TPS), Limbus AI OAR outlining software, Canon Aquilion CT Scanner and AlignRT SGRT.
You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking department with a strong specialist radiographer workforce, including Support and Information, Urology, and Colorectal/Gynae Specialist Radiographers, all of whom are independent prescribers.
Our team is proud to be involved in innovative service development, including the award-winning late effects service project, and we have a dedicated research radiographer embedded within the oncology research and development team.
We actively participate in clinical trials and are committed to early adoption of changes in radiotherapy practice, helping ensure our local population can access modern, evidence-based treatment close to home.
This is an exciting time to join us, with plans to commission a new treatment planning system and progress back-to-back linac replacements, offering excellent opportunities to contribute to service development, innovation, and the future direction of radiotherapy at Torbay.

About #CatchUpWithCancer
1 in 4 people will need radiotherapy at some point in their life. Not everyone receives the best treatment for their cancer because advanced radiotherapy techniques are currently restricted. Research shows that nearly 24,000 patients are missing out on vital radiotherapy every year. This needs to change. We are campaigning for increased funding and better organisation of radiotherapy. Support our campaign by emailing your MP - this letter will ask them to ensure that every patient gets the best radiotherapy treatment for their cancer, no matter where they live.
