Job Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6-12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Edinburgh.


Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale AI transformation programme focused on introducing AI-enabled software development practices across multiple technology teams.


This role will coordinate delivery activities, stakeholder engagement, onboarding, training and adoption initiatives while ensuring effective governance across a complex programme environment.


The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in evolving environments where both traditional planning disciplines and Agile delivery approaches are required.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the delivery of AI transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate team onboarding and adoption activities.
  • Develop and maintain programme plans and delivery schedules.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Monitor risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate training, learning and enablement activities.
  • Support resource planning and allocation.
  • Produce governance reporting and delivery updates.
  • Ensure successful execution of adoption and rollout plans.


About You


  • Proven technology project management experience.
  • Delivery of digital or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing programme risks and dependencies.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience operating within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Strong governance and reporting experience.


Desirable:


  • Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to AI, automation or emerging technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of software development and engineering delivery practices.
