This is an exciting time to join the Arm Procurement team. We are in the middle of a significant transformation, building a growing team and investing at the forefront of Procurement and AI technology. We are looking for an upbeat and commercially savvy Procurement Category Manager to join our Technology Procurement team.

This position focuses on key areas of Technology Hardware and Connectivity procurement at Arm, including equipment, services, and solutions that support our technology environment. You will have the chance to influence category strategies, manage sophisticated and high-value sourcing projects, and build strong strategic relationships with leading global technology suppliers.

Collaborating with Engineering, IT, Finance, Legal, and others, you will provide market insight and commercial expertise. This will help Arm make effective long-term technology and infrastructure decisions. The role will balance strategic category development with hands on delivery across a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

As Arm continues to evolve and grow, the role may also support adjacent technology categories and other procurement priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies, bringing together spend, supplier, market and demand insights to find opportunities and build an executable pipeline of activity.
  • Lead end to end sourcing activity including market evaluation, supplier selection, competitive tendering, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Identify and apply commercial levers to deliver the best value for Arm, considering demand, competition, commercial models, commitments, flexibility, service levels, risk and total cost of ownership.
  • Develop a strong understanding of relevant market dynamics, new technologies, supplier capabilities and commercial trends, translating these insights into category and sourcing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, driving commercial performance, governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across Engineering, IT and other functions, providing commercial guidance, constructively challenging requirements and influencing decision making.
  • Identify supply and supplier risks and appropriate mitigating actions, while ensuring suppliers are aligned with Arm’s ESG objectives.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Proven Procurement and Category Management experience across Technology Hardware and Connectivity, including leading strategic sourcing activity across areas such as engineering and lab hardware, networks, telecoms, end user computing, AV, installation, support and maintenance services.
  • Experience developing and implementing category strategies and translating them into executable sourcing pipelines.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying and applying commercial drivers to achieve value beyond headline price.
  • Proven history of leading complex end to end sourcing, negotiation and commercial contracting activities.
  • Ability to understand complex technical and business requirements and translate them into effective commercial strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering with and influencing technical and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Experience within the semiconductor, technology or engineering sector.
  • Experience working in complex global organisations and across international supplier markets.
  • Ariba or other Source to Contract experience.
  • Experience with procurement orchestration platforms such as Zip.
  • MCIPS or other relevant procurement qualification.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.

In Return

In return, you will have the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where your contributions will directly influence our ambitious goals. We provide ongoing learning opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career. Join us in shaping the future of technology procurement and be part of a world-class team!
