Requirements
Candidates should have experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, solution design, technology consulting, or a similar commercial technology role, including support for complex bids or RFPs. They should be commercially aware, able to translate client requirements into practical solutions, present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Job Description
Are you commercially minded, technically curious and confident translating complex solutions into compelling propositions for clients?
We’re looking for a Tech Pre-Sales Architect to play a key role in supporting growth across Sodexo. Sitting at the intersection of Sales, Solution Design and Technology, you’ll help shape technology-enabled solutions that respond to client needs while making the most of our established Tech portfolio and standard offering.
From qualifying opportunities and contributing to major bids, through to developing solutions, pricing assumptions and client presentations, you’ll help ensure our technology proposition is commercially viable, clearly articulated and capable of delivering real value.
This is an opportunity to influence strategic opportunities, work with senior stakeholders and help shape how technology supports both new and existing client partnerships.
What you’ll do
You’ll work closely with Sales, Growth, Solution Design and Tech specialists to:
- Support strategic opportunities, bids and client pursuits, helping to identify technology requirements from an early stage.
- Qualify opportunities and translate client requirements into practical, commercially viable technology solutions.
- Develop client-focused solutions using Sodexo’s standard Tech offer as the primary framework, adapting solutions where specific business requirements justify it.
- Support RFPs, proposals, presentations and bid defence activities.
- Provide input into commercial estimates, pricing assumptions, implementation considerations and solution risks.
- Identify dependencies, prerequisites and potential delivery challenges before solutions are proposed.
- Bring together technical expertise from across the business to create joined-up solutions for complex enterprise clients.
- Participate in client presentations, workshops and solution discussions, clearly communicating the business value and operational benefits of our technology.
- Partner with Sales teams to confidently respond to client questions around our Tech capabilities and solutions.
- Help create high-quality, reusable solution assets, proof points and sales materials.
- Feed client and market insight back into our Solution Design and Tech teams, helping us continuously strengthen our proposition.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who can combine commercial thinking with technology and solution design, building credibility with both technical specialists and client-facing teams.
We’d particularly like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience within pre-sales, solution consulting, solution design, technology consulting or a similar commercially focused technology role.
- Experience supporting complex sales opportunities, tenders, RFPs or bids.
- The ability to understand client requirements and translate them into clear, practical solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, effort estimation and solution risk.
- Confidence presenting solutions and value propositions to clients and senior stakeholders.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and engaging way to non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across Sales, Technology, Operations and other specialist teams.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to bring together multiple areas of expertise around a common client solution.
- A focus on quality, consistency and developing solutions that can be reused and scaled.
What success looks like
Success in this role will be about more than developing technical solutions. You’ll help us win the right opportunities and create solutions that deliver genuine value for clients.
You’ll contribute to:
- Growing the pipeline of technology-enabled opportunities.
- Increasing the use of our standard Tech offering across client solutions.
- Improving the quality, accuracy and consistency of solution proposals.
- Identifying and reducing solution risks earlier in the sales process.
- Delivering timely, high-quality support across bids and proposals.
- Strengthening collaboration between Sales, Solution Design and Tech teams.
- Continuously improving our technology proposition and sales enablement materials.
Why join us?
This is a highly collaborative and commercially influential role, giving you the opportunity to work across technology, sales and solution design while supporting some of our most important client opportunities.
You’ll have the chance to shape solutions from the earliest stages, influence how technology is positioned with clients and contribute directly to Sodexo’s wider growth ambitions.
If you enjoy bringing technology, commercial thinking and client needs together to create compelling solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
