Contract Role: PMO Lead / PMO Consultant – Financial Crime & Payments
Contract Location: London. Hybrid 2-3 days (with occasional travel to Brighton)
Contract Duration: 3-4 months initially (with potential extension)
Contract Start Date: Immediate
Contract Classification: Inside IR35
Rate: Dependent on experience
Overview
We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead / PMO Consultant to support a global Financial Crime enterprise standards gap assessment for a leading global payments and financial services organisation.
The successful candidate will provide strong PMO support across a complex, international programme, working closely with senior stakeholders and teams across multiple business units and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and agree the project timeline, including key working sessions, milestones and deliverables.
· Establish the status reporting cadence, key metrics, performance indicators and risk indicators.
· Identify key attendees, schedule governance forums and prepare agenda and meeting materials.
· Set up and maintain the RAID log, including clear escalation routes for issue resolution.
· Track completion of gap assessments across multiple business units and international markets.
· Draft summary reports covering gap assessment findings and implementation plans.
· Support the preparation and syndication of executive-level reporting across senior governance forums.
· Work closely with client teams completing the gap assessments, helping to consolidate responses and translate findings into clear executive-level reporting.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Strong PMO Lead / PMO support experience within global financial institutions.
· Strong experience within the Payments industry and Financial Crime.
· Experience working on complex, international programmes with multiple business units and markets.
· Experience supporting gap assessments, regulatory/standards programmes or similar Financial Crime initiatives.
· Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior decision-makers across Europe, Americas and APAC.
· Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and coordinating across geographically dispersed teams.
