Requirements

Ideally, candidates have at least two years of generalist HR experience, familiarity with an HRIS such as BambooHR and payroll inputs, and the judgment to advise managers and escalate complex matters. Job Description

We’re looking for a People Operations Advisor – you’ll love this role if you enjoy making processes better and are always looking for the tool or automation that saves us time and improves people’s experience. You’re organised and detail-focused, read a room well, and bring a collaborative, supportive approach. You spot what needs doing before you’re asked, and you flag blockers early.

Reporting to: People Operations Director

Contract: Full-time, fixed-term 12 months

Location: London – hybrid, two to three days a week in the studio. Visa sponsorship may be available for this role.

FutureDeluxe is a global creative studio with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney, and part of Forever - a group of design companies that amplify creativity, craft and innovation. We combine design, technology and moving image to create visual experiences for future-facing brands. We’re a diverse team of artists, directors, designers, creative technologists and operations specialists who thrive on experimentation and collaboration, working with brands from first concept to final delivery.

We’re growing, with a busy hiring plan, teams across our four studios and a growing number of remote team members across Europe. As our People Operations Advisor, you’ll own the day-to-day running of people operations: full hiring lifecycle from role posting to smooth and efficient onboarding wherever team is based, keeping our systems and admin accurate, and being the go-to person for managers’ everyday people questions. You’ll report to the People Operations Director and work closely with hiring managers, our Studio Coordinator and the wider people team across the group.

You’ll love this role if you enjoy making processes better and are always looking for the tool or automation that saves us time and improves people’s experience. You’re organised and detail-focused, read a room well, and bring a collaborative, supportive approach. You spot what needs doing before you’re asked, and you flag blockers early.

Ideally you’ll have two or more years in a generalist HR role, experience with an HRIS like BambooHR and with payroll inputs, and the judgement to advise managers confidently and know when to escalate. A working knowledge of UK employment law is useful; CIPD Level 5 and experience supporting remote or international employees are a bonus, not essential. Getting to know the team is central to the role, so you’ll be in our London studio two to three days a week.

Please don’t be put off if you don’t meet everything listed here. We're very open about what industry your experience comes from. Career breaks, career changes, and different paths are all welcome. If the role excites you and you know you could do it, we’d love to hear from you, and we’ll support the right person to grow into it.

The Opportunity:

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment: Coordinate a busy hiring plan (10+ roles in the current pipeline) with the People Operations Director and hiring managers, including outreach lists, job ads with marketing, screening calls, interview scheduling, candidate communication and reference checks. Support managers with structured hiring and feedback.
  • Offers & onboarding: Issue offers and contracts, complete right-to-work checks, coordinate visa paperwork with legal advisers, and run inductions from pre-arrival through day one with tech and the Studio Coordinator.
  • Probation & offboarding: Track probation, contract and visa end dates, schedule 30/60/90-day check-ins, advise managers on outcomes, and coordinate leaver processes end to end.
  • Employee & manager support: Act as first point of contact for policy, benefits and admin requests (e.g. employment letters), advise managers on day-to-day issues like absence, lateness and informal performance concerns, and escalate complex cases.
  • Absence, benefits & payroll: Process time off, run return-to-work conversations and monitor absence patterns. Manage private medical and pension enrolment, input payroll changes into BambooHR, and send monthly updates to Finance with senior approvals.
  • Records & policy: Keep HR records and systems accurate, GDPR-compliant and audit-ready. Draft updates to policies and the handbook in line with UK employment law, with support from the People Operations Director and Global People team.
  • Reporting & reviews: Own monthly people reporting (headcount, turnover, absence, time-to-hire) and flag trends. Run admin for performance reviews, goal-setting and the people survey.
  • Learning & development: Book training, track mandatory completion, and maintain the L&D calendar.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify manual, repetitive processes that could be simplified or automated.
  • Global coverage: Support our UK base alongside teams in LA, NY and Sydney, handling people admin, onboarding and records for overseas staff, and coordinating remote hires employed through EOR.

Come Prepared to Talk About:

  • Your experience creating and implementing process within a people team
  • Your interest or experience in automating manual processes
  • Your experience with recruitment
  • A tricky manager or employee situation you handled, and what you’d do differently
  • What you want from this role
