Job Description
CMC Markets is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to support the accurate and timely delivery of UK payroll, benefits and employee share scheme administration.
Working closely with HR, Finance, employees and third-party providers, you will help ensure payroll is processed accurately, reconciliations are completed within agreed deadlines, and employees receive a high-quality, responsive service.
Please note that this is a 12 month FTC.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll:
- Coordinate payroll inputs and support payroll submissions for the UK.
- Complete payroll input, output and variance reconciliations, investigating discrepancies where required.
- Prepare payroll journals and supporting documentation for review and approval.
- Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees, HR, Finance and external providers.
- Prepare reports, reconciliations and documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant controls, policies and procedures.
Benefits and share schemes:
- Support the administration of the Flexible Benefits programme, including new-joiner enrolments and monthly processing.
- Reconcile pension contributions against provider invoices and direct debits.
- Prepare management information for benefit providers within agreed deadlines.
- Support the processing and reconciliation of benefit provider invoices.
- Maintain accurate records for Season Ticket Loans and other employee loans.
- Support the administration of employee share schemes and ensure payroll reporting requirements are accurately communicated and processed.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally UK payroll.
- Experience working with a third-party payroll provider.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas, data analysis and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organisation, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- The ability to handle confidential payroll, benefits and employee information with discretion.
Experience with HR Information Systems, multi-country payroll, payroll and HR management information, employee benefits or pension schemes would be desirable.
