Our SAP Public Cloud Centre of Excellence in Manchester sits at the heart of some of the most complex, high-profile SAP Public Cloud programmes in the UK market, from greenfield public sector transformations to large-scale recovery engagements. We're growing fast, which means this is a rare chance to help shape a practice from the ground up rather than join one that's already fully formed.

This is a role with real ownership in it: you'd be leading Finance delivery across engagements, owning the relationships with client finance leaders, and setting the standard for how the practice delivers Finance on S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. You'd be building the method, not inheriting one that's already fixed.

You’ll lead Finance (FI/CO) delivery on S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition engagements, typically across more than one client at a time. That means owning the Finance solution end to end: shaping scope with client finance directors and programme leads, chairing Fit-to-Standard workshops, holding the design authority for Finance decisions, and taking accountability for configuration quality, testing, cutover and hypercare through to a stable go-live.

You'll manage the Finance team on your engagements, including senior consultants, consultants and analysts, and you'll be responsible for their development, their utilisation and the quality of their work. You'll also own the commercial health of your workstream: plan, budget, risk, change control and reporting to the engagement leadership.

Beyond delivery, you'll lead the Finance content in bids and proposals, working with our partners and bid teams to shape solutions, estimates and demonstrations. And you'll own and grow the Finance accelerators the CoE reuses across clients, so that each engagement makes the next one faster and more predictable. Both of these are core parts of the role rather than something to pick up in spare time.

You bring people on with you. You've built and led teams, you'd rather grow the people around you than keep the interesting work to yourself, and you take responsibility for their careers as well as their deliverables.

You think commercially. You understand how a fixed fee is built, where margin is won and lost on a Finance workstream, and how to have a scope conversation that protects both the client outcome and the engagement.

Essentials:

• Demonstrable experience leading Finance (FI/CO) workstreams through multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations, with accountability for design, build, test and cutover.
• Hands-on delivery experience of S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Finance using a Fit-to-Standard approach, including at least one full cycle from workshops to go-live.
• Experience managing and developing teams of SAP consultants, including setting direction, reviewing work and managing performance.
• Confidence leading workshops and design decisions with senior client finance stakeholders, including finance directors and heads of finance, and managing scope and change conversations directly.
• Experience managing the plan, budget, risks and commercials of a workstream on a fixed fee or outcome-based engagement.
• Experience contributing to bids and proposals, including solution shaping, estimating and client presentations.

This role will involve working with our Government & Public Sector; therefore, we require applicants to have UK security clearance or eligibility to apply for the same.

Desirables:

• UK public sector delivery experience across local government, policing, health or housing.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Finance.
• Experience of recovery or remediation engagements on SAP programmes.
• Experience integrating Finance with adjacent SAP Public Cloud capabilities, for example Procurement, Human Capital Management or Analytics.
• Existing or previous UK Government security clearance.
