Machine / Setter Operator (Late Shift)

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (On-Site)

Working Hours: 
Monday - Thursday  
14:00 – 23:30 

Role Overview 

We’re looking for motivated and detail‑driven Machine Setter/Operators to join our team and support our growing production team.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills, work with modern CNC equipment, and be part of a collaborative, quality-focused environment. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

As a Machine Setter/Operator, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality components including: 

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts 
  • Working to engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and quality 
  • Inspecting finished parts using gauges, verniers, and micrometers 
  • Deburring, cleaning, and packaging components to required standards 
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining production rates 
  • Supporting machine maintenance, cleanliness, and asset care (FLOAC) 
  • Contributing to a safe working environment and EHS initiatives 
  • Sharing ideas and actively participating in continuous improvement projects 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Experience in CNC setting and operating (or a strong foundation to build on) 
  • Familiarity with measuring equipment and quality inspection processes 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment 
  • Basic computer skills
  • An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Manufacturing or Engineering (desirable)
