Senior ManagerJob Description & Summary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect at Senior Manager level to join PwC’s M&A Technology team within Strategy& Operations. This role focuses on advising clients across the deal lifecycle — from pre-deal Technology Due Diligence (Tech DD) through to post-deal separation and integration planning including IT blueprint design.
You will lead architecture thinking, shape client recommendations, and oversee delivery of technology strategies, target architectures, and cost models across all IT domains (applications, data, infrastructure, and security).
What your days will look like:
Pre-deal (Technology Due Diligence)
- Lead assessments of target company technology landscapes, including applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models
- Identify key risks, technical debt, and value creation opportunities to inform deal decisions
- Provide clear, commercially grounded insights for investment committees and senior stakeholders
Post-deal (Separation & Integration)
- Define target-state Enterprise Architecture for integrations or standalone entities
- Lead development of technology blueprints and transition architectures across all IT domains
- Oversee data separation, migration, and application disentanglement strategies
- Shape TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) design, including scope, duration, and exit planning
Cost & Value Analysis
- Lead development of standalone cost models, including run-rate IT costs and operating models
- Oversee estimation of one-off separation or integration costs
- Identify and quantify synergies, stranded costs, and optimisation opportunities
- Translate architecture decisions into clear commercial implications
This role is for you if:
- Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and senior business stakeholders
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams across deals and transformation engagements
- Drive high-quality client deliverables, proposals, and thought leadership
- Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture across multiple domains
- Proven track record in M&A, carve-outs, separations, or integrations
- Experience in Technology Due Diligence and/or IT strategy
- Strong commercial acumen with experience building and interpreting cost models
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and data architectures
- Experience within a consulting or deals environment
- Familiarity with Private Equity clients and transaction lifecycles
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
