Lightside Sales Manager

This is a brand new position within our Hartlepool branch, as we are looking to expand further into the market. We are looking for an experienced salesperson to join us and make this new role their own from day one. Pushing plumbing & heating sales and taking our business to new levels. An excellent opportunity for someone to join us bringing a wealth of knowledge and having the drive to make MKM Hartlepool the number one stop in the area for all things building supplies!

This role will predominantly be dealing with Lightside Building Materials queries/ quotations.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Providing quotations for customers
  • Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
  • Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
  • Taking a proactive approach to sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
  • Use a customer relationship management system (CRM) holding a portfolio of 50 + customers.
  • Generate new business with existing and new customers.
  • Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers.
  • Taking initiative to grow Plumbing & Heating sales within branch.
  • Cold calling
  • Lead qualifying.
  • Quote follow up.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, positive attitude
  • Previous sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is a necessity.
  • Confident dealing with customers
  • The ability to build great customer relationships.
  • A good telephone manner, excellent communication, and interpersonal skill
  • Computer literate.
