Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher-Education) to join our team at East Midland Institute of Technology, based at Loughborough College.
We are looking for an individual to teach variety Level 4, 5 and 6 Engineering modules across the department to part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students.
You will have experience in a relevant vocational industry setting or academic background and be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students through the use of varied teaching and learning strategies.

- To use industry experience and expertise to contextualise learning and develop students’ understanding of electrical engineering and power networks
- To play a key role in quality assurance and quality improvement processes – full training will be provided
- To deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences
- Possess a relevant engineering degree or master in engineering
- A willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Willingness to travel to other work locations as often as required
- Experience in a relevant vocational industry setting (power industry transmission/distribution, high current/voltage applications or operating related equipment)
