** Background 
 

The School of Policy and Global Affairs is an excellent international centre of research and learning
on the human condition. It is home to over 2,500 students and 100 staff across three departments:
Economics, Sociology and Criminology, and International Politics.


The Department of Economics is a research and education hub, specializing in microeconomics,
health, behavioural and public economics. Over 90% of our research output and over 80% of our impact are rated as internationally excellent. We offer research-led education to 1,500 students at undergraduate and post-graduate level, focusing on employability, transferable skills, and social mobility. 


 
** Responsibilities 
 

The Department of Economics is seeking to appoint three outstanding educators as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting (Grade 6/7/8) on the Education track, with expertise in Financial and Management Accounting. The successful candidates will play a central role in our BSc Economics with Accounting. Post holders will curate and develop the accounting curriculum, support professional body accreditations, design innovative learning experiences, and undertake programme-level leadership duties commensurate with grade.


 
** Person Specification
 

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent professional qualification in Accounting or cognate field at the time of appointment. Relevant professional accounting accreditations (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) are desirable. Applicants should demonstrate capability to deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching across cohort sizes and formats at UG and PG levels. Applicants should be able to drive pedagogical innovation, including through digital tools, contribute to scholarship in teaching and learning through pedagogical research, case studies, active engagement with educational communities, alongside experience supporting, supervising and mentoring students.
