Job Description

As we continue to evolve our commercial capabilities, we're looking for an exceptional Lead Revenue Optimisation Scientist to join our Commercial team and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through advanced analytics, forecasting and pricing optimisation.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the identification, design, testing and implementation of innovative revenue optimisation initiatives. You'll help shape the next generation of demand forecasting and price optimisation tools that support our Revenue Management team in making smarter pricing decisions and maximising commercial performance across the business.


What you will be doing:


  • Lead the analytical approach to complex, high-value commercial and revenue management challenges, applying advanced analytics and data science techniques to deliver impactful business outcomes.
  • Identify, investigate and quantify opportunities to improve revenue and margin performance across Parkdean Resorts.
  • Partner with the Head of Revenue Optimisation to prioritise analytical initiatives and ensure focus is directed towards the highest-value opportunities.
  • Continuously enhance forecasting, pricing and optimisation methodologies to ensure our revenue management systems evolve alongside the business.
  • Design, build and oversee the development of advanced analytical models to support pricing, demand forecasting, availability management and wider commercial decision-making.
  • Lead the testing and evaluation of new optimisation approaches, turning innovative concepts into practical solutions.
  • Manage and coach Revenue Optimisation Scientists, fostering a high-performing and collaborative analytical team.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Data and IT teams to develop, productionise and embed new tools, reports and automated insights.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, identifying risks, dependencies and mitigation actions to ensure successful delivery.
  • Act as the recognised subject matter expert for revenue optimisation methodologies, processes and analytical models.
  • Influence stakeholders through evidence-based recommendations, data-driven insights and constructive challenge.
  • Present complex findings and recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders, including Heads of Department and Directors.
  • Explore emerging AI capabilities, technologies and external tools that can enhance our commercial decision-making and optimisation capabilities.


About you


  • A degree in a numerical discipline such as Operational Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent professional analytics/data science qualifications and experience.
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) applying advanced analytical techniques within a commercial environment.
  • A track record of leading analytical projects that have delivered measurable business value and commercial performance improvements.
  • Deep knowledge of analytical modelling and data science techniques, with the ability to select the most appropriate approach for each business challenge.
  • Experience developing forecasting models, simulation models, segmentation approaches, pricing models and other commercial analytical solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R or similar tools for extracting, analysing and modelling large, complex datasets.
  • Experience using Power BI, Excel or equivalent reporting and visualisation tools to communicate insights effectively.
  • The ability to translate complex data into meaningful commercial recommendations.
