About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Intelligent Automation Developer to join our dynamic NHS organisation.
The post holder will lead the Trust's Intelligent Automation function, providing technical leadership and day-to-day management of Intelligent Automation Developers. They will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing secure, reliable and cost-effective automation and integration solutions that support the Trust's clinical and corporate transformation objectives.
As the Trust's Intelligent Automation subject matter expert, the post holder will oversee the full automation lifecycle, including process design, solution development, systems integration, testing, deployment, documentation, standards development and ongoing support. They will identify new automation opportunities, develop complex technical solutions and ensure all automation services meet organisational requirements for security, governance, data integrity and operational effectiveness while contributing to the Trust's wider digital transformation strategy.
Main duties
- Lead the Trust's Intelligent Automation function, providing technical leadership and line management for Intelligent Automation Developers.
- Design, develop and implement automation and integration solutions that support clinical and corporate services.
- Act as the Trust's subject matter expert for Intelligent Automation, providing guidance, training and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Manage the full automation development lifecycle, including process analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing support.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with organisational priorities.
- Develop and maintain standards, controls and governance processes to ensure solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with best practice.
- Oversee system integrations between Trust applications and technology platforms.
- Monitor and optimise automation services, ensuring performance, reliability and service levels are maintained.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by recommending and implementing innovative automation technologies and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with information governance, cyber security and data protection requirements while maintaining data integrity and system security.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and technical excellence.
- Manage risks, documentation and change control processes, ensuring automation solutions are delivered safely and effectively.
Essential person specification requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, or significant experience working at degree level.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Blue Prism Cloud Practitioner certification.
- Additional Blue Prism certification(s).
- Proven experience delivering complex automation solutions using Blue Prism Cloud.
