Job Description

Company Description

ENODA’s world-class team are building the first truly decentralised, intelligent energy system that will reshape how we generate, store, and distribute energy.

Foundational to our holistic and integrated platform approach, the Enoda PRIME® Exchanger is a first-of-a-kind dynamic power flow hardware designed to maintain “on-target” frequency and voltage, increasing grid efficiency and capacity for distributed energy sources like renewables and EVs.

Enoda ENSEMBLE™ is our ecosystem co-ordinator of ENODA and third-party assets, able to forecast, aggregate, and bid capacity in real time, functioning as a networked “operating system” for the electrical grid.

This is more than simply managing electricity flow. It is about creating the foundational system to prepare for a radically more capable, prosperous, and intelligent future

Job Description

  • Design and development of electrical systems architecture for grid-connected and distributed energy systems
  • Specify and integrate high- and low-voltage electrical systems, including power electronics, protection schemes, and energy conversion components
  • Develop conceptual and detailed designs based on functional requirements, regulatory standards, and grid codes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver electrical solutions optimised for grid compliance, efficiency, and reliability
  • Conduct system-level analysis including load flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination, using industry-standard tools
  • Support the integration of renewable energy sources, storage systems, and advanced control interfaces into the electrical design
  • Key technical contributor, providing mentorship

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge and experience designing and implementing electrical systems involving inverters, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
  • Proficiency in power system modelling and simulation tools (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of renewable technologies (solar, wind, storage), and how they interact with modern grid infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevant compliance and safety standards (G99, IEC 61850, IEEE standards, etc.)
  • A collaborative approach and comfort working across interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel to support hardware validation and integration activities, including hands-on work in laboratory environments, participation in factory acceptance testing (FAT), and on-site support at shopfloor/manufacturing facilities and external testing facilities.

The Following Would Be Advantageous

  • An understanding of grid-connected system design, including grid codes, connection requirements, and distributed generation integration.
