Job Description

The Role
Let’s talk about testing and quality…When it comes to UK retail, it’s hard to find a company with a bigger focus on quality. We sell thousands of items an hour and our repeat customer base comes back to us time and time again for our renowned quality products. This is the place to learn. To grow. And to thrive.

Our onsite lab technicians work hard to ensure the quality of our Next product is always of the highest standard.

What You’ll Take On
Working in the Next Laboratory as an Assistant Lab Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all Next products are continually meeting our high standards. You’ll play a key role in preparing all of our products from Footwear, Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear and Home; to carry out rigorous testing and appearance audits of base fabrics, colour fastness, stability and physical testing as well as implementing careful assessments and measurements of bulk Fabrics as part of this.  Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have experience in a footwear related role but this is not essential. With a keen eye for detail alongside your excellent ability to meet deadlines, you’ll be expected to meet our delivery promise by promptly providing results as part of the top class service we give to the business. You’ll have an exceptional eye for detail and be able to consistently ensure the high

standards of the testing you carry out. You’ll also be highly organised with the ability to manage and coordinate a varied and challenging workload.

Your Team
The Lab team at NEXT has a wealth of knowledge and experience across all product testing areas. This is an ideal opportunity to show us what you can do and to also soak up all the knowledge of those around you. This really is a perfect role for someone to get their teeth into!

Sponsorship
Candidates wishing to apply who would require sponsorship for this role will be required to meet the Home Office sponsorship requirements. For further information please see: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.

We encourage early applications for our roles, as our recruitment process begins as soon as the role is advertised. If we successfully fill the position, this advert may close earlier than planned.

At NEXT, we believe the best work happens when there are no barriers to collaboration. That’s why we are a Google-powered workspace. From your very first day, you’ll be using the full Google Workspace suite; Docs, Drive, and Meet, to stay connected and move fast.

If your previous experience is rooted in other software suites, don’t worry! We’ll point you to a digital Google toolkit the moment you join, packed with handy guides and insider tips to help you transition smoothly and hit the ground running.
